Lake Königssee

The "King's Lake" in the heart of the Berchtesgaden's Alpine National Park was indeed used by the kings of Bavaria when they spent their holidays at the Berchtesgaden Royal Palace. Today, electric-powered boats silently glide their passengers over Germany's deepest and cleanest lake to the ancient Augustine chapel of St. Bartholomew, only reached by boat.

Almbachklamm Hike

The Almbachklamm is one of the most beautiful gorges in Bavaria. A short hike will take you up into the gorge where cascades thunder into pools of sparkling water. Little bridges spanning the falls allow good views as you ascend high into the gorge. At the foot of the gorge you will visit Germany's last marble ball mill where real marbles are still made today.
